TCMA Unveils Strategic Pillars for Net Zero Cement by 2050

The Thai Cement Manufacturers Association (TCMA) has introduced "The NEXT Chapter" to guide the cement industry towards Net Zero 2050. This initiative, underpinned by five strategic pillars termed "5 Engines to Net Zero," aims to transition Thailand's cement sector to a low-carbon future. This aligns with the national goal of a 2050 Net Zero roadmap.

Through enhanced policies, low-carbon technology, clean energy, circular economy, and digitalization, TCMA seeks to improve competitiveness while reducing emissions. Key strategies include strengthening carbon governance and adopting clean energy alternatives. The SARABURI SANDBOX project serves as a pilot for these initiatives.

The initiative positions the industry as a climate solution partner, shifting its role from producer to key driver in tackling climate change, reinforcing Thailand's path to a sustainable future.
