The Platform Group AG Expands into Pet Supplies with Lyra Pet Acquisition

The Platform Group AG (TPG), a key player in platform solutions, has announced the acquisition of Lyra Pet GmbH, a German company specializing in pet food and supplies. The deal, completed in January 2025, marks TPG's entry into the pet supplies industry, a sector noted for its growth and profitability in e-commerce and retail. The purchase price remains undisclosed, with the official acquisition closure anticipated for February 2025.

Rafael Menke, Managing Director of Lyra Pet, highlighted the collaboration's potential to drive growth by connecting partners within the pet industry across the DACH region. Dr. Dominik Benner, CEO of TPG, expressed enthusiasm for leveraging TPG's platform expertise to expand in this new segment.

This acquisition aligns with TPG's strategy to broaden its reach across diverse sectors, adding to their extensive portfolio of 24 investments since 2020.
