The Platform Group Plans Major Pharma Acquisition
The Platform Group SE & Co. KGaA announced plans to acquire AEP GmbH, a company providing a B2B wholesale platform for the pharmaceutical sector. The deal aims to generate revenues over EUR 1.1 billion, with a new segment named Pharma & Service Goods.
The acquisition is set to close by the second quarter of 2026, pending antitrust approval. The purchase will see TPG take full ownership of AEP, although the financial terms remain undisclosed. This strategic move includes integrating various subsidiaries under the new Pharma Group umbrella.
TPG also intends to restructure its finances, including capital increases to support the acquisition. The company's financial targets for 2026 project an upward revision, with a significant rise in GMV, revenue, and EBITDA.
