Absa and Thunes Introduce Absa Global Pay for Efficient Cross-Border Transfers

Absa Group, a major African financial services provider, has collaborated with Thunes to launch Absa Global Pay. This digital-first solution is designed to offer fast, affordable, and transparent global remittances. This partnership seeks to fulfill the growing demand for intuitive and cost-effective international money transfer solutions.

Absa Global Pay enables customers to send money directly via the Absa Banking App or Online Banking to 18 countries, starting with the UK, Kenya, India, Malawi, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe. Users can choose from bank accounts, mobile wallets, or cash pick-up points, with real-time notifications to ensure transaction transparency.

The platform leverages Absa's market presence and Thunes' network to deliver lower fees and clear pricing, ensuring more of each transaction benefits recipients. This initiative underscores Absa's commitment to facilitating financial connectivity and supporting socioeconomic growth.
