Thyssenkrupp Nucera Acquires Key Assets from Green Hydrogen Systems

Thyssenkrupp Nucera, a leader in electrolysis technologies, has completed the acquisition of crucial technology assets from Green Hydrogen Systems, a Danish company. The deal includes intellectual property and a test facility with a full-size prototype in Skive, Denmark. This acquisition, initially announced in June, received all regulatory and insolvency approvals necessary.

With this move, Thyssenkrupp Nucera enhances its capabilities in alkaline water electrolysis, particularly in pressurized solutions. The technology acquired enables hydrogen production at pressures up to 35 bar, benefiting industries needing compressed hydrogen. The transaction aligns with Thyssenkrupp Nucera’s strategy to drive innovation and was financed through existing liquidity. The purchase price is in the high single-digit million euro range.
