TotalEnergies Releases 2026 Sustainability & Climate Report
TotalEnergies has published its Sustainability & Climate 2026 Progress Report, showcasing the company's achievements in its 2025 transition strategy with a focus on emissions reduction. The report precedes incorporation into the Universal Registration Document in alignment with CSRD requirements.
The company emphasized responsible investment in low-emission oil and gas projects, recording a 65% reduction in operated methane emissions since 2020, surpassing their 60% target. Scope 1+2 emissions dropped to 33.1 Mt in 2025, outperforming the 37 Mt target, and achieving a 38% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions from operated facilities.
The second growth pillar, Integrated Power, saw net electricity production reach 48 TWh in 2025. This contributed to an 18.6% lifecycle carbon intensity reduction in energy products, exceeding the 17% target.
The report's findings highlight the strength of TotalEnergies' multi-energy model, balancing growth with emissions reduction.
