The Eiffel Tower Company raises 598.8 million euros with the support of the SMABTP group

Société de la Tour Eiffel announced a €598.8 million capital increase with preferential subscription rights. This transaction received strong support from the SMABTP group, which subscribed for the majority of unreserved shares, bringing its stake to 93.8% of the company's capital.

The fundraising aims to rebalance the company's balance sheet and support its strategic plan, including debt repayment and preparation for future market opportunities. The subscription period ran from December 23, 2024 to January 10, 2025, with an overall demand covering 52.6% of the issued capital.

The new shares will be listed on Euronext Paris from 17 January 2025. However, the increase in the SMABTP group's stake suspends the company's SIIC regime, which could lead to an exit from this status if the thresholds are not restored by the end of 2025.
