U-blox Launches SAM-M11N: A Compact GNSS Module

u-blox has introduced the SAM-M11N, a GNSS module integrated with an omnidirectional antenna. Built on the F11 GNSS platform, this 4.4 g module simplifies integration in devices where weight and space are critical. Key markets include automotive, industrial, and consumer sectors.

The module measures 15.5 × 15.5 × 5.3 mm, making it the thinnest and smallest in its category. This integration removes the need for separate antennas and complex RF designs, saving development resources.

It supports Low Energy Accurate Positioning (LEAP) mode, consuming as low as 10 mW, offering developers flexibility with a supply range of 1.8 V to 3.6 V. The module features embedded flash memory for future firmware updates, supporting dynamic environments like livestock tracking and personal devices.
