United Internet AG Reports Strong First Half of 2026

United Internet AG reported a positive performance for the first half of 2026, marked by a growth in customer contracts and financial metrics. The company added 550,000 customer contracts, reaching a total of 30.27 million. The sales grew by 3.3% to EUR 3.091 billion, and EBITDA increased by 5.1% to EUR 676.0 million.

The company's EBIT showed a notable rise of 20.0% to EUR 342.4 million, influenced by higher EBITDA and a decline in depreciation and amortization. Earnings per share from ongoing operations increased by 59.6% to EUR 0.75, driven by lower tax expenses.

Despite a decrease in mobile internet contracts, due to strategic tariff adjustments, broadband connections saw a slight increase. United Internet maintains its full-year guidance, anticipating sales to reach EUR 6.25 billion and an improved EBITDA of EUR 1.45 billion for 2026.
