Unusual Machines Expands Manufacturing with New Orlando Facility

Unusual Machines, a prominent drone component manufacturer, announces an expansion in its production capabilities by leasing a 14,000-square-foot facility in Orlando, Florida. This move is strategically aimed at enhancing the company's battery production ahead of its anticipated acquisition of Upgrade Energy, to be finalized by mid-third quarter 2026.

Upgrade Energy, currently operating in California, focuses on battery and power systems production. The new Orlando facility will complement these operations, boosting domestic manufacturing capacity to support Unusual Machines' growing battery business. This expansion reflects the company's commitment to ensuring a steady supply of critical components necessary for drone functionality.

Allan Evans, CEO, emphasized the importance of battery systems for drones, highlighting that multiple batteries are typically used per drone. The new facility aligns with the company's growth phase, reinforcing its position in the U.S. drone industry.
