Vallourec Secures Major Contract with TotalEnergies for Absheron Gas Field
On October 12, 2026, Vallourec announced a significant contract with TotalEnergies for the Absheron gas field in Azerbaijan. Vallourec will supply over 16,000 tons of tubular solutions, which include Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) and line pipe solutions. The OCTG scope includes premium pipes featuring VAM® connections and accessories from Vallourec's facilities worldwide. The line pipe scope involves 159 kilometers of pipes with anti-corrosion coating for onshore and offshore use.
Vallourec leverages its VAM® Caspian entity for local support, underscoring its ability to blend global expertise with regional presence. Located 100 kilometers southeast of Baku, the Absheron field aims to produce 6 BCMA of gas annually. The project strengthens Azerbaijan's energy security and boosts local and regional energy supplies.
This award highlights Vallourec's robust technical and commercial offerings, emphasizing its capability to meet demanding schedules with innovative solutions.
