Veolia Sets New Milestone for Water Reuse in Brazil

Veolia, a leader in water treatment technologies, is launching Brazil's foremost municipal wastewater reuse system for industrial use at the Vitória Water Reclamation Station. This breakthrough aligns with Brazil's sustainable development and water scarcity goals.

The station, capable of processing 450 liters per second, will recycle 85% of municipal wastewater from Vitória’s Camburi basin. This initiative aims to repurpose reclaimed water for industrial purposes, safeguarding freshwater resources for approximately 200,000 people.

Vitória WRS, a pioneer project in Brazil, emerges from Brazil's first public tender for water reuse. It delivers a sustainable water supply to key industrial partners while pioneering sustainable water recycling practices in Latin America.
