Veolia's Ambitious Drive for Ecological Transformation in Spain
Veolia, a global leader in environmental services, is intensifying its efforts in Spain to combat climate change and promote sustainability. In 2023, the company achieved €2.6 billion in revenue across its water, energy, and waste sectors, employing over 14,000 people in the country.
With investments exceeding €360 million between 2022 and 2023, Veolia aims to innovate and collaborate with local communities. Plans include eight acquisitions in the energy efficiency and bioenergy sectors in 2024, totaling approximately €50 million.
Veolia is focused on water management, addressing desertification risks by investing over €270 million between 2022 and 2023. The company is also advancing energy efficiency and waste recycling, solidifying its position as a sustainability leader in Spain.
