Vertical Exploration Finalizes Wollastonite Offtake Agreement
Vertical Exploration Inc. has secured its first 2025 offtake agreement for Global Wollastonite from its St-Onge quarry in Quebec. A local Lac-Saint-Jean farmer and entrepreneur has agreed to purchase up to 69 tonnes, with an option for more purchases. This agreement positions Vertical to seek further orders for its agriculture-focused product.
Vertical's President, Peter P. Swistak, expressed enthusiasm about working with a buyer aware of the benefits of locally sourced, green soil amendments. The agreement also involves the buyer promoting wollastonite among local agricultural producers without exclusive obligations on Vertical.
The demand in the Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean region might exceed 640,000 metric tonnes, surpassing Vertical's current production capabilities. The company aims to keep stakeholders informed of new agreements and opportunities.
