Vonovia Appoints New Chief Development Officer and Extends CHRO Contract

Vonovia SE's Supervisory Board has named Katja Wünschel as the new Chief Development Officer (CDO) starting June 1, 2026. Wünschel will join Vonovia in April 2026, succeeding Daniel Riedl. Her background in the energy sector, particularly in renewable energies, is expected to be valuable for Vonovia's development focus, including modular construction. Wünschel has extensive leadership experience at RWE Renewables and E.ON, with a strong foundation in project management.

Additionally, Vonovia has proactively renewed Ruth Werhahn's contract as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) until September 30, 2029. Werhahn, who oversees Human Resources, IT, and Central Services, has made notable progress in developing Vonovia's corporate culture and attracting new talent, key during a skilled workforce shortage.
