New contract for Waga Energy in Oregon

Waga Energy has been selected by Lane County and the Emerald People's Utility District (EPUD) to build a biomethane production unit at the Short Mountain waste management site in Eugene, Oregon, USA. The contract, initially for 25 years, will produce approximately 120 GWh of biomethane annually using Waga Energy's patented WAGABOX® technology. This initiative will reduce CO₂ emissions by 31,000 tons annually, replacing the equivalent of more than 10 million liters of diesel fuel.

WAGABOX® technology combines membrane filtration and cryogenic distillation, maximizing renewable energy production. It guarantees high-quality biomethane injected into the local grid.
