Western Alaska Minerals Corp. (WAM) has announced a name change to "Alaska Silver Corp." effective April 25, 2025, pending approval from the TSX Venture Exchange. This shift highlights the company's strategic focus on its silver assets, particularly the Waterpump Creek Deposit, which holds an inferred resource of 75 million ounces of silver equivalent. The rebrand aligns with their 2025 drill program aimed at expanding this high-grade mineralization.

CEO Kit Marrs emphasized the importance of silver as both an industrial conductor and a stable investment. While prioritizing silver, the company remains committed to exploring other minerals at Illinois Creek, enhancing overall value. The shares will trade under the new name from April 29, 2025, with a rebranded website launching on April 28, 2025.
