Nebius Welcomes Bezos Expeditions as Lead Investor in Toloka

Nebius Group has announced that Bezos Expeditions will act as the lead investor in its AI data business, Toloka. The investment aims to rapidly scale Toloka, enhancing its position in the AI data market. This move is bolstered by the participation of Mikhail Parakhin, Shopify's CTO, who will become Executive Chairman of Toloka's Board of Directors.

Under the leadership of CEO Olga Megorskaya, Toloka is set to harness strategic financial backing to expand its technological innovations in AI. Arkady Volozh, Nebius Group CEO, highlights this as an endorsement of Toloka's leadership and a pathway to capturing opportunities in the AI landscape.

Nebius, retaining a substantial economic stake but relinquishing majority voting control, focuses on its core AI infrastructure business. Toloka, known for its AI development and crowd-sourced data labeling, partners with industry leaders like Amazon and Microsoft to ensure reliable AI systems.
