Ningbo Consensus on Collaborative Development Unveiled
The Ningbo Consensus on Collaborative Development was unveiled at the 2026 Global Mayors Dialogue in Ningbo, China. Representatives from 15 countries participated in the event held from November 2 to 5. The theme "Openness and Connectivity for Shared Opportunities" gathered over 260 participants, including mayors, international organization representatives, and media professionals.
The consensus highlights three core agreements: industrial cooperation, trade openness, and people-to-people exchanges. Participants emphasized the importance of cooperation for industrial growth and promoting urban prosperity. They aim to leverage strengths and pursue unique paths of open development.
Trade and openness focused on upholding the multilateral trading system and strengthening supply chains. Participants also stressed enhancing cultural, educational, and healthcare exchanges to foster mutual understanding and prevent conflicts.
Looking forward, the collaborative effort aims to establish new city-to-city cooperation mechanisms and contribute to global urban sustainable development. The event was co-hosted by Ningbo Municipality and Xinhua News Agency Zhejiang Bureau.
