Derichebourg Environnement participates in the Choose France summit – France Edition

As part of Industry Week, Thomas Derichebourg, CEO of Derichebourg Environnement, took part today in the Choose France Summit – France Edition, at the Maison de la Chimie in Paris.  

During a roundtable discussion on the industrialization of the circular economy, Thomas Derichebourg presented to Mathieu Lefèvre, Minister for Ecological Transition, the Group's seven major recycling projects at the national level, representing €130 million in investment over the period 2025-2028 and the creation of 200 jobs:  

•       Four projects for the recovery of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) dedicated to hot water tanks in the Ile-de-France (94), Grand-Est (57), Pays de la Loire (44), and Auvergne Rhône-Alpes (69) regions: the aim is to treat the fluorinated gases present in the insulating foam of hot water tanks and produce recycled materials,

•       A project to produce recycled lead ingots for the automotive industry in Normandy (14): the aim is to go beyond simply shredding car batteries to produce recycled lead ingots, 

•       A project to recycle copper from used cables in the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region (71): the aim is to double the site's capacity in order to produce 16,000 tons of recycled copper per year,

•       A project to produce blackmass from electric vehicle batteries in partnership with LG Energy Solution, in the Ile-de-France region (95): the project will recycle electric vehicle batteries to produce blackmass, which will fuel European battery production.
