Legacy Initiatives Has Routed More Than $2M to Creators Through Fan-Led Community Initiatives

New York, United States, September 23rd, 2026, FinanceWire

Legacy Initiatives, a platform that designs and launches fan-led initiatives on behalf of creators, today announced it has facilitated more than $2 million in contributions routed directly to creators. The company has now worked with a growing roster of creators across multiple initiatives since launching, with new initiatives added regularly.

Alex DiMarco, Founder - Legacy Initiatives

The company works with comic and character creators, digital artists, tech executives, internet culture figures, and other public figures whose work has built lasting fan communities. Legacy Initiatives handles strategy, setup, and community activation so that creators can connect with and be supported by their fans.

"We design, launch, and run a fan-led initiative around a creator's work. They engage when they want, and their community shows up for them directly," a Legacy Initiatives spokesperson said.

Why Legacy Initiatives Exists

Founder Alex DiMarco started Legacy Initiatives after seeing how often creators' most culturally significant work went uncompensated long after it made its mark. Internet moments, characters, and voices that shaped entire communities often had no simple way for fans to show that appreciation directly to the people behind them.

"So much of the internet's culture was built by people who never saw a dollar from what they created going viral," DiMarco said. "Fans have always wanted to show up for the creators who shaped their favorite corners of the internet. We built the easiest possible way for that to happen."

How It Works

Legacy Initiatives manages the process end-to-end in five steps:

  1. Introduction call. The Legacy Initiatives team walks the creator through the concept and aligns on how their legacy will be represented, with no commitment required.
  2. Full setup. The company handles all technical and community infrastructure on the creator's behalf.
  3. Launch and activation. Legacy Initiatives coordinates the rollout and activates the community.
  4. Proceeds route automatically. Contributions from the community route directly to the creator, with no delay or middleman.
  5. Optional engagement. Creators can engage with their community as much or as little as they choose.

Creator Participation

According to the company, creators whose fan communities have contributed through Legacy Initiatives include Yishan Wong, former CEO of Reddit; Antonio Brown, the former NFL wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers; and Susan Bennett, the original voice of Apple's Siri.

Legacy Initiatives states that these are not brand endorsements or official affiliations, and that participating creators retain full ownership of their intellectual property and trademarks.

One of the company's earliest initiatives centered on Bennett, whose work as the voice of Siri made her one of the most recognized digital voices in the world. Legacy Initiatives built and launched a community around her legacy on her behalf. "You guys did what Apple would not do," Bennett said of the response. "Congratulations to you for being the good guys."

What's Next

Legacy Initiatives plans to expand into new creator categories and grow its roster of initiatives in the months ahead, continuing to build direct connections between creators and the fan communities that have championed their work for years.
