Lili Expands Its Banking Platform to Support Multi-Employee Teams

New York, USA, November 4th, 2026, FinanceWire

Individual logins, role-based permissions, payment approval thresholds, and multiple debit cards are included on the $0/month Core plan.

Lili, the online business banking platform that has served more than 200,000 US businesses, has expanded its platform to support small businesses with multiple employees. Team access, role-based permissions, and payment approvals, features some business banking platforms reserve for paid tiers, are included on Lili’s Core plan at no monthly cost.

The team capabilities are central to the repositioning Lili announced in January 2026, when the company shifted its focus from freelancers and solopreneurs to growing, multi-employee small businesses with higher transaction volumes and more complex financial operations.

What teams get

  • Individual logins. Owners add business partners, administrators, managers, and accountants, each with their own credentials, so no one shares the owner’s login.
  • Role-based permissions. Partners receive full access, administrators receive limited access, and accountants receive view-only access.
  • Payment approval thresholds. Smaller payments move automatically while larger payments require review, giving owners oversight without creating bottlenecks.
  • Multiple debit cards. Businesses can issue Lili Visa debit cards to team members, making each purchase attributable to a person.
  • Multi-business management. Owners running more than one company can manage multiple business accounts from a single login.

Built for the operations that come with a team

Hiring changes how a small business moves money. Payroll creates fixed recurring outflows, an outside bookkeeper needs read access, and staff need to make purchases without holding the owner’s credentials. Lili’s team features are paired with banking built for that volume: Express ACH for same-business-day transfers, domestic and international wires, expedited check deposits, and integrations with more than 50 tools, including Gusto, QuickBooks, Xero, Stripe, Square, and Shopify.

Teams also benefit from FDIC insurance up to $3 million through Sunrise Banks, N.A. and a sweep network, and from the Lili Savings Account, which pays 2.25% APY on balances up to $500,000 and 4.00% APY on balances above $500,000 up to $1 million.

Availability

Team features are available now to all Lili customers, including those on the Lili Core plan, which has a $0 monthly fee and no minimum opening deposit. Paid plans, starting at $15 per month, add expense and tax management, accounting software, invoicing, and bill pay.
