SILQ Marks First Anniversary with US$100 Million (SAR376 Million) for Fina to Accelerate Embedded Financial Infrastructure for SMEs

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, August 10th, 2026, FinanceWire

One year after bringing together Sary and ShopUp to form SILQ, the company today announced the successful close of US$100 million (SAR376 million) in financing facilities from Fasanara Capital, Gemcorp Capital, and Amwal Capital Partners, marking a major milestone in its mission to build the financial infrastructure powering the next generation of businesses across the Gulf and South Asia.

The financing will support the continued expansion of Fina, SILQ's embedded financing platform, enabling more businesses to access working capital directly within the digital workflows where they buy, sell, and manage their operations.

Founded in 2025 through the merger of Sary and ShopUp, SILQ was built on a simple belief: businesses grow faster with better infrastructure. As merchants increasingly relied on the platform, one challenge consistently emerged: access to working capital. Rather than pushing into financial services, SILQ was naturally pulled there by the evolving needs of the businesses it already served.

This evolution is what led to the creation of Fina; it is SILQ's bet on the future of B2B finance - embedded financing that moves at the velocity of commerce, within the digital workflows where businesses already operate.

Over the past year, the combined platform has evolved from a commerce layer into an ecosystem enabler, bringing together commerce, payments, digital operations, and embedded financing into a connected infrastructure that today supports more than 50,000 businesses in Saudi Arabia as part of an ecosystem serving over 300,000 merchants across the Gulf and South Asia.

Mohammed Aldossary, Co-founder and CEO, SILQ, Financial Services, said:

"The US$100 million (SAR376 million) milestone is an important validation of where we believe B2B commerce is heading. We have spent years working alongside merchants, helping them source inventory, manage operations, and grow their businesses.Throughout that journey, one challenge consistently stood above the rest: liquidity. Fina wasn't built because we wanted to become a financial services company. It was built because our merchants needed capital that understands how they operate. By embedding financing directly into commerce, we're making access to working capital faster, more relevant, and naturally connected to the way businesses already run. This funding allows us to continue building the financial infrastructure that modern businesses deserve."

To date, SILQ's Saudi ecosystem has enabled more than SAR20 billion in transaction volume. Over the past twelve months, Fina has facilitated more than SAR1.5 billion in financing and is targeting SAR3billion in liquidity deployment this year, helping thousands of businesses unlock working capital directly within their everyday operations.

The participation of regional and international investors, including Fasanara Capital, Gemcorp Capital, and Amwal Capital Partners, reflects growing conviction that embedded financing represents the next evolution of B2B commerce, while reinforcing confidence in the long-term resilience and growth of Saudi Arabia's business economy despite geopolitical tensions.
