Lenzing AG: Impairment requirements (EBIT) for the financial year 2023; confirmation and specification of earnings forecast (EBITDA)
Lenzing AG announces non-cash impairment losses of up to EUR 480 million, affecting the 2023 financial year EBIT. The company confirms and specifies the earnings forecast for the year, expecting an EBITDA of around EUR 300 million. The revaluation of assets does not change the strategic orientation of the Lenzing Group. The 2023 annual results will be presented on March 15, 2024. -

Lenzing AG has reported a projected asset impairment of up to EUR 480 million for the 2023 financial year due to continued uncertainties in the economic environment, increased raw material and energy costs, and a higher interest rate environment. The impairment losses will affect the EBIT for the 2023 financial year, but not the full-year EBITDA forecast of EUR 270 – 330 million, with an expected EBITDA of around EUR 300 million.
